This 9000 sq ft indoor experimental area is furnished with tanks of various capacities receiving continuous flow-through, degassed, UV sterilized, non-chlorinated well-water up to 600 gpm. Natural river water sourced from the Willamette River is also available to a limited degree.

Experiments including those with pathogens are conducted in this area.  Each tank as options of up to 4 digitally programmable temperatures between 5 and 30 °C (constant or cyclic). 

The flexible design allows tank configurations, flow rates, temperature regimes, etc. to be tailored to meet specific needs.

6 L TANKS Forty-eight 6L TANKS are arranged in 4 racks of 12.  They are suitable for small fish such as zebrafish.
25 L TANKS Our 25 L tanks are arranged in 5 banks of 24 tanks. Particularly suitable for smaller sized fish with a maximum loading capacity of 0.8 Kg of fish biomass and recommended flow rate for salmonids of 2 LPM. Dimensions: 15” x 15” x 16” (L xWxH)
100 L TANKS Our 100 L tanks are arranged in 4 banks of 16 tanks.  Suitable for medium sized fish or larger groups with a maximum loading capacity of 3.2 Kg of fish biomass and recommended flow rate for salmonids of  ˜3 LPM.  Dimensions:  31.5" x 21.5" x 16" (LxWxH)
380 L TANKS Our 380 L tanks are arranged in 3 ft circulars.  Suitable for larger sized fish such as tilapia, koi, or salmonids or larger groups.  Maximum loading capacity of 12.2 Kg of fish biomass and recommended flow rate for salmonids of ˜8 LPM.  Dimensions:  3 ft diameter x 3 ft high.
  700 L TANKS Our 700 L tanks are 4 ft circulars.  Particularly suitable for larger sized fish such as tilapia, koi, or salmonids or larger grous.  Maximum loading capacity of 22.7 Kg of fish biomass and recommended flow rate for salmonids of ~13 LPM.  Dimensions:  4 ft diameter x 3 ft high.
